The Mexico City International Airport Benito Juárez (AICM) has enabled a new parking alternative at Terminal 2 as part of its modernization plan, aiming to reduce traffic congestion caused by ongoing construction works. According to Grupo Aeroportuario Marina, this measure is a response to the disruptions generated by the remodeling of existing parking lots. A new parking area has been opened at Terminal 2… to mitigate traffic congestion in the area. The new space covers an approximate area of 59 thousand square meters and is located in the eastern area of Terminal 2, on Alberto Santos Dumont and Juan Guillermo Villasana streets, on a plot ceded by the Ministry of National Defense. From this point, users can access the terminal via designated pedestrian routes with permanent surveillance. This option is added to two other alternatives previously enabled: a parking lot at gate 6 of the Magdalena Mixhuca Sports City, which offers free transportation to both terminals, and another space near the Terminal 2 roundabout with a capacity for 650 vehicles.
